Yet another Kevin Philips event with George Poulton as Quizmaster!  Some 64 people packed into the village hall on Saturday 10th March to exercise the grey matter and raise funds for a local charity - this time the Royal School for Deaf Children at Ramsgate.  Somewhat more challenging than the last quiz, the Short Street Swots had to relinquish their position as village brains to the team lead by David Tingey, who by some skilful manipulation, sorry, playing of the joker maximised their points total to best effect to come top of the pile.  With great food provided by Karen Copestake from the Griffin's Head, and fine wines from the Hercules Wine Warehouse in Sandwich a great evening's entertainment was had by all (even the losers!).  And over £250 was raised for the charity!  Well done everyone!
