All Saints Chillenden

The historic Church of All Saints in Chillenden dates back to 1180 and has been a place of Christian worship ever since, serving the immediate parish.  It has a Norman doorway, a Jacobean pulpit and an intricate chancel screen by Sir George Gilbert Scott.  With seating for some 60 places in the congregation is a delightful village church which welcomes all to it’s services.

All Saints is part of the Canonry Benefice encompassing the neighbouring parishes of Ash, Wingham, Goodnestone, Preston and Elmstone.  More information on the Canonry Benefice can be found here.

Please also visit the Benefice website for more information, and for links to the other parishes.

Visitors

The church is open for visitors at the weekends from about 10am to 2pm every Saturday & Sunday.  At other times when it is locked, a key can be obtained at the Griffins Head (subject to a deposit).
