Regular church services starting from 8 August
Following the government’s announcement confirming Step 4 on 19 July and the release of new guidance, we have taken the decision to delay the start of services at All Saints until Sunday 8 August at 9am, and thereafter every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month. Whilst the majority of legal restrictions have been removed, we are very mindful of the continuing high levels of infections in our area despite the success of the vaccination programme. We also recognise people’s concerns and anxieties for going back too quickly to a fully unrestricted environment. We need more time therefore to work through the detailed guidance to take the interests of our congregation and community into account. Goodnestone will have services on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 9am.
All Saints will continue to be opened on Saturdays and Sundays for visits and private prayer.
We will also continue to hold live-streaming services every Sunday at 11am. Virtual services. These can be accessed on YouTube or Facebook, and watched at anytime.

All Saints Church, Chillenden

It has a Norman doorway, a Jacobean pulpit and an intricate chancel screen by Sir George Gilbert Scott. With seating for some 60 places in the congregation is a delightful village church which welcomes all to its services.
All Saints is part of the Canonry Benefice encompassing the neighbouring parishes of Ash, Goodnestone, Nonington, Preston and Elmstone. More information on the Canonry Benefice can be found here. Please also visit the Benefice website for more information, and for links to the other parishes.
