The Griffin’s Head pub is set in a beautiful Kent Hall House.  It is the social heart of the village where locals from all walks of life come to meet up, chat, and generally put the world to rights.  And they have a jolly good time.  Serving Shepherd Neame fine ales, with an extensive wine, champagne and port list, and glorious food from the restaurant with locally sourced produce.  Summer weekend BBQs, and Vintage car rally 1st Sunday of the month.  Enquiries.

Chillenden Windmill remains closed until further notice as the access steps are unsafe.  We hope to open later in the summer when it will be open on Sundays until September from 2 - 4.30pm. Local volunteer guides will be on hand to give you an interpretive tour round what is one of only 3 historic post mills in Kent. Admission is free but donations welcome.  Enquiries.

The hamlet of Chillenden in East Kent, UK, lies midway between the historic cathedral city of Canterbury and the gateway port of Dover.  It lies in the rural landscape on the edge of the North Downs, surrounded by some wonderful English countryside.  It has a population of about 100 people living in 45 houses.  There is a church, a working farm, a village hall, a pond, a brilliant pub, and a windmill.
